In 2002, he joined rap formation Tuindorp Hustler Click (THC), but decided to go solo. He is known for the political content of his lyrics and criticism of nationalist MP Geert Wilders. He also strongly identifies with the social problems of Moroccan youths.

Eerder zat hij bij de rapformatie THC, maar pas na zijn vertrek bij de groep in 2005 wist hij redelijke bekendheid te verkrijgen binnen het rapcircuit. Tevens kwam Appa diverse malen in de media als criticus van de PVV. Hij staat momenteel onder contract bij het het platenlabel Appa-Music en TopNotch.
