has glosseng: Camp Roger is a Christian youth camp located in Rockford, Michigan. It was founded in 1913 as a boys choir camp for Saint Marks Episcopal church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Originally it was named Camp Anderson after the wealthy donor, William Anderson, purchased the land. In 1911 his son Roger died of tuberculosis and the camps name was changed in memory of his son. St. Mark's Church operated Camp Roger for many years until the Great Depression, when interest and funding for the camp diminished.
