Heute gilt sie als eine der härtesten und abgelegensten Outbackpisten Australiens. Mit rund 2.000 Kilometern Länge ist sie auch die längste Outbackpiste. Sie führt von Halls Creek in der Kimberley Region nach Wiluna, ca. 800 Kilometer nordöstlich der Landeshauptstadt Perth.
