The China Relief Expedition was a multi-national effort and the United States contributed troops between 1900 and 1901. At the end of the expedition, the focus shifted from rescuing non-combatants to suppressing the uprising. By 1902, at least in the city of Peking, the Boxer Rebellion had been effectively controlled. |
