has glosseng: Clyde Loakes is a British politician born in the East Midlands town of Northampton. He became Council Leader of the London Borough of Waltham Forest in north-east London, and in 2008 he was selected by the Labour Party as their prospective parliamentary candidate for the Northampton South Constituency in the 2010 General Election. In November 2008 the British Local Government Chronicle named Loakes on a list of the 50 most influential people in British Local Government . He is also nationally notable for his work towards improving Waltham Forest and North-East London.
