The aim of the party is to create an independent state for Kurdish people. Unlike PKK/KONGRA-GEL and Kürdistan Devrim Partisi, two other illegal organisation with similar aims, PDK/Bakur does not follow Marxist-Leninist principles and has a conservative agenda.
