Our knowledge of them comes from coins bearing variations of the legend DERRONIKON (ΔΕΡΡΟΝΙΚΟΝ) - DERR (ΔΕΡΡ) etc. "Letters" used in the coin "legends" seem like ancient Greek. These coins are traditionally dated to 500-450 BC .
