Filmed in 1982, released a year later, it is the first Israeli LGBT-themed film, and follows a lonely young gay man as he attempts to find love and break into the movie business. In Hebrew, with English subtitles Sometimes the films title is translated, as "Afflicted".

has gloss	heb: נגוע הוא שמם של שני סרטים ישראליים של הבמאי עמוס גוטמן, העוסקים בנושאים אוטוביוגרפיים. הכותרת "נגוע" בשמות שני הסרטים מתייחסת לנטייה המינית ההומוסקסואלית של גיבוריהם. שני הסרטים מתאפיינים באווירה פסימית מאוד, ומציגים את ההומוסקסואליות של גיבוריהם באור מדכא ומייאש, כפי שמרמז אפילו השם "נגוע". בכך הם מייצגים נאמנה הלך רוח שהיה נפוץ בקהילה ההומוסקסואלית בישראל בשנות השמונים.
