| has gloss | eng: The Gibraltar Stock Exchange is the only stock exchange in Gibraltar. It was established in 2006, and was to begin full operations in 2007. This is the second time there has been a planned stock exchange in Gibraltar; during the 1990s, a market was planned but was not backed with Government support, as they wanted low cost housing to be incorporated into the building. The new stock exchange will have the technical assistance of the Vienna Stock Exchange, and will be an important exchange for companies wanting to benefit from the tax incentives in place in Gibraltar. |
