has glosseng: The Hong Kong Certificate of Identity (CI) (Traditional Chinese: 身份證明書) was a formal travel document and passport, issued by the Hong Kong Government's Immigration Department until June 30, 1997 (See transfer of the sovereignty of Hong Kong). It is no longer possible to possess a valid CI as a travel document, as all CIs have expired by 30 June 2007, though most CI holders should be eligible to hold the HKSAR Passport.

has glosszho: 香港身份證明書(英文:Hong Kong Certificate of Identity,CI)是香港曾使用的旅遊證件之一,發行對象為未持有及未能領取有效旅行證件的香港永久性居民,使其能前赴外國,其有效期通常為十年。在1997年香港主權移交前,香港身份證明書的封面印上港英殖民色彩紋章(後來取消)。主權移交後已停止簽發,期間可繼續使用現時仍有效的香港身份證明書,直至有效期屆滿。所有現行的香港身份證明書均已於2007年6月30日起已全部失效。現時具中國國籍的原香港身份證明書持有人,可以申請香港特別行政區護照。證件持有人未能持證件進入中國內地及澳門。
