has gloss	eng: Overview Rabbi Dr. Howard Apfel received his rabbinic ordination from RIETS in 2003. He has served as a rabbi in YUHSB for three years, last year in the Beis Midrash Katan of the Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy. Previously, Rabbi Apfel had been a maggid shiur at Yeshivot, Mevaseret and Torat Shraga in Israel. He has taught bioethics courses at the Yeshiva University Gruss Kollel in Jerusalem, at Touro College Landers College for Men and has given a shiur on Hilchot Shabbat as it relates to physicians at the Yeshiva University Albert Einstein College of Medicine for the past three years. He currently teaches a bi-weekly class on Medical Halacha at Yeshiva University and has published numerous contemporary halacha related articles.
