has gloss	eng: Jaipongan is a form of popular dance among the Sundanese of West Java, Indonesia. It was originally performed by prostitutes and as a result is often considered both bawdy and erotic. It acquired additional movements when Dutch plantation owners attempted to ban the martial art, pencak silat. In contemporary times it is performed with a drummer and gamelan players and members of the audience are often invited to participate.
