has gloss	eng: The Jalis are a race of fighters who inhabit a territory in the land of Deltora, as part of the fiction series "Deltora Quest", by Emily Rodda. They give up their stone, the diamond, to Adin who uses it to form the Belt of Deltora with which he banishes the evil Shadow Lords from their land. However, when Adins descendants neglect their royal duties the Belt of Deltora is lost and the Shadow Lord reclaims the land and takes the race of the Jalis prisoner. Later on they are freed by the next King, Lief, who rescues them from the Shadowlands using the Pirran Pipe.
