Whitten Building, houses the administrative offices of the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. The Administration Building projects into the National Mall from the larger U.S. Department of Agriculture South Building, and is the only building on the Mall that is not intended for use by the general public. It was the first large Beaux-Arts style building in Washington and set the prototype for the later buildings of the Federal Triangle. The east and west wings were the first Federal office buildings to be built of reinforced concrete. The Whitten Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The pediment features sculpture by Adolph Alexander Weinman, while interior murals are by Gilbert White.

Whitten Building ist der Hauptsitz des US-amerikanischen Landwirtschaftsministeriums in Washington, D.C.. Das Administration Building liegt an der Nordseite der Independence Avenue und ragt in die National Mall hinein, wo es sich gegenüber dem National Museum of Natural History befindet. Es ist das einzige Gebäude an der National Mall, das nicht zum Besuch durch die allgemeine Öffentlichkeit bestimmt ist. Es war das erste größere Gebäude im Beaux-Arts-Stil in Washington und setzte so den Prototyp für spätere Gebäude im Federal Triangle. Ost- und Westflügel des Gebäudes waren die ersten Bürobauten der Bundesregierung der Vereinigten Staaten aus Stahlbeton. Das Bauwerk wurde am 24. Januar 1974 ins National Register of Historic Places eingetragen.
