It is located on a cliff of Mount Da Ta near the popular resort of Alishan, in Chiayi County. Its closest city is the small hamlet of Fengshan. Predominantly seasonal, it has been known to have much reduced flow just several days after rain. Although often said to be the tallest waterfall in the Far East, this is not the case, as there are several waterfalls in mainland China, and possibly even Taiwan itself, that are even higher. |
