has gloss | eng: The Kadava Patidar (also variously spelled Kadwa, Kadva) are a sub-caste of the Patidar community in India. They are predominantly found in the Mehsana District in the Northern Gujarat, and overseas in East Africa and US states including California, Georgia, and Florida. There are several theories of the origins of the Kadava. One religious theory holds that Kadavas are the descendants of Kush, the son of Lord Rama. Kadava Patidars are part of Kurmi community.
