| has gloss | mal: കേരളത്തിലെ പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു ഗ്രാമമാണ് കല്പാത്തി . ദക്ഷിണ കാശി (അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ തെക്കിന്റെ വാരണാസി) എന്ന് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. പാലക്കാടില്‍ ബ്രാഹ്മണര്‍ ആദ്യമായി കുടിയേറിപ്പാര്‍ത്ത സ്ഥലങ്ങളില്‍ (അഗ്രഹാരങ്ങളില്‍) ഒന്നാണ് കല്പാത്തി. ഇവിടത്തെ കല്പാത്തി രഥോത്സവം പ്രശസ്തമാണ്. എല്ലാ വര്‍ഷവും ശ്രീ വിശാലാക്ഷി സമേത ശ്രീ വിശ്വനാഥസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലാണ് കല്‍പ്പാത്തി രഥോത്സവം നടക്കുന്നത്. ഇവിടത്തെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠ വിശ്വനാഥ പ്രഭു (ശിവന്‍) ആണ്. പാലക്കാട് പട്ടണത്തില്‍ നിന്നും 3 കി.മീ അകലെയായി അണ് കല്പാത്തി സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. പഴയ കല്‍പ്പാത്തിയും പുതിയ കല്‍പ്പാത്തിയുമായി കല്‍പ്പാത്തിയെ വേര്‍തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. |
