has gloss | eng: The Kanizsa Eyalet was an administrative unit of the Ottoman Empire formed in 1600 existing until the collapse of Ottoman rule in Hungary after 1686 (nominally to 1699). It included parts of present-day Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia. Capital of the Kanizsa Eyalet was Kanizsa. It was formed after capture of Kanije (Nagykanizsa) from Austrian in 1600 and some sanjaks of Budin Province joined it. It was existed until surrender of Kanije to Austrians in 1690 and were left to Austria by Treaty of Karlowitz in 1699. |
