| has gloss | heb: ליפתא (בערבית لفتا) היה כפר פלסטיני במבואותיה המערביים של ירושלים. הכפר היה ממוקם מצפון לכביש המוביל ליפו ותל אביב, במדרון היורד לנחל שורק, בגובה ממוצע של כ-700 מטר מעל פני הים. השתייך לנפת ירושלים מחוז ירושלים (1945), שטחי אדמותיו היו 8,743 דונם ובשנת 1945 מנה 2,550 נפשות . במהלך מלחמת העצמאות, בחודש ינואר 1948, נמלטו תושבי הכפר לאחר התקפות של ההגנה והלח"י, ולאחר הסכמי שביתת הנשק בתום מלחמת העצמאות נותר מצידו הישראלי של קו הגבול ונקרא בשם "מי נפתוח" בשנת 1952 צורף לתחום שיפוטה של עיריית ירושלים . |
