has gloss	deu: Die Maske von La Roche-Cotard ist ein aus dem Moustérien stammendes Artefakt, das als Proto-Figurine − also als ein erster Schritt hin zu den Kunstwerken des Jungpaläolithikum − bezeichnet wird. Es wurde 2002 im Eingangsbereich der im Jahre 1912 entdeckten Grotte von La Roche-Cotard am Ufer der Loire gefunden. Der neu entdeckte Moustérien-Horizont ist aber erst seit 25 Jahren bekannt. Die Grotte diente als Unterkunft.
