has gloss | eng: Monastir Province was an Ottoman vilayet, created in 1864. This vilayet encompassed territories in present-day eastern Albania, southwestern Republic of Macedonia and northwestern Greece. The town of Bitola (Monastir) was the center of the vilayet which included the sanjaks of Debar (before 1877, part of the Shkodër Province), Servia, Elbasan, Bitola, Koritsa and the towns of Kičevo, Prilep, Florina, Kastoria and Grevena. Servia became mutasarrıf in 1892. This province was dissolved after the First Balkan War in 1912. |
