has gloss	eng: The Monpa language (or Dakpa language) is spoken in the Tawang and West Kameng districts held by the Indian government (claim by Tibet as a part of Lho-kha Sa-khul) and other parts of Lhoka. It belongs to the Tibeto-Burman family, and it is mutually unintelligible to Tibetan, although it shares many similarities with the Bumthang dialect. The language uses the Tibetan script to represent its words and phonetics.
