has gloss | eng: Nam tok (Lao: ນ້ຳຕົກ) means "waterfall" in the Lao language and it refers to a popular Lao and Isarn meat dish commonly known as Ping Sin Nam Tok (Laos) or Nuea Yang Nam Tok (Thailand) meaning "Grilled Waterfall Beef". This dish is similar to a popular Lao minced meat dish called larb, however the grilled meat in Nam tok is sliced. It can also be made with pork and it is then called moo nam tok. In the modern quick version of this dish the meat is not grilled but boiled or fried for a very short time. |

Este plato es parecido a la popular receta de carne picada llamada larb, aunque la carne a la parrilla del nam tok se corta en rodajas. También puede hacerse con cerdo y entonces se llama moo nam tok'. En la versión rápida moderna de este plato la carne no se asa sino que se cuece o fríe durante muy poco tiempo. |
