The typical pay structure may be composed of a basic salary with an additional amount of commission. The package will usually be called OTE or on-target earnings, meaning that if a salesperson hits specified targets, then they will get that amount of money. While all commission plans are unique, it is not uncommon that achievement of sales targets results in higher commission rates on sales beyond target for the period in question. |
