Situated on the southern bluffs above the Platte River, the park has a relatively steep, rolling topography compared to the surrounding region. Combined from several different areas, the park consists of 418 acres (169 ha) and most of it is forested. Two observation towers provide views of the Platte River valley, the taller of which rises 85 feet (26 m) above its base. The park is located near several other tourist attractions including the Mahoney State Park, the Strategic Air and Space Museum, the Conservation Park and Wildlife Safari, and several golf courses. |
