The controller was based on Nintendos SNES controller and features all the same inputs (albeit with different labels) in almost the same configuration, as well as two additional shoulder buttons. It was the first controller to use the familiar PlayStation , , and button labels (other control pads tend to use letters or numbers as button labels).
