has gloss | eng: Pontypool Park is a park containing predominantly mature trees with some open meadowland that was previously the grounds of Pontypool House, Pontypool, Wales. Pontypool Park was laid out in the closing years of the 17th century for Major John Hanbury, the renowned ironmaster, who is closely associated with Japanware. The grounds were purchased by the local authorities in 1920 and the estate house was initially leased, and later sold to the Sisters of Holy Ghost, to become St Alban's RC High School. |
