has gloss	eng: The Ponwar (also Panwar, Puar, Powar, or Pawar) are an Jat clan that ruled the states of Chhatarpur, Dewas, Dhar, and Rajgarh in central India. They claimed the same descent as the Paramara clan of Jatts, who ruled Malwa (Punjab) in Punjab from the 9th to the 14th centuries.
