These latter two are not widely practiced as sacraments in other Christian denominations. The Community of Christ does not observe confession as a sacrament.

Wyrażają one obecność Boga w życiu członków Kościoła i kapłaństwa, stanowiąc metaforyczne akty służące budowaniu i odnawianiu duchowej relacji z Bogiem. Przystępowanie do sakramentów postrzegane jest jako zawieranie z Bogiem przymierzy w odpowiedzi na jego wezwanie i łaskę.
