Information
has glosseng: Saleyards Creek is a storm drain located in Sydney, Australia. It rises in the suburb of Strathfield and flows in a generally northward direction through the suburb of Homebush. Saleyards Creek is lined with concrete banks for its entire length and generally flows as little more than a trickle during dry weather. During its course, the creek flows under Paddy's Markets Flemington in the form of a man-made tunnel. Saleyards Creek then re-emerges into daylight and continues under Parramatta Road and the M4 Western Motorway until finally joining Powells Creek at Bressington Park in Homebush. When driving westbound on the M4 Western Motorway it is possible to see a sign showing where Saleyards Creek flows under the motorway, not far east of Homebush Bay Drive.
