| has gloss | eng: Taplow Choirs was set up in September 2004 by Philip Viveash and Gillian Dibden MBE (Sainsburys Choral Director of the Year 2002) after the latter split from Berkshire Maestros (then Berkshire Young Musicians Trust). They held their first concert in the Christmas of 2004. Taplow Childrens Choir (45 children aged 6 – 12)Founded in 2004, Taplow Childrens Choir was immediately popular. The choir is not auditioned and function as a training choir. The choir won the outstanding award (first place) in the 2006 National Choral Festival Final in Symphony Hall, Birmingham by unanimous panel decision (run by Music for Youth). They have recently recorded for BBC television and are making recordings for Sing Up (The National Singing Programme).Taplow Girls Choir (45 girls aged 9 –15)Founded in 2004, Taplow Girls Choir was also immediately, and remains, very popular. |
