has glosseng: The tretretretre or tratratratra was believed to have been an extinct giant lemur from the island of Madagascar. Its only mention is from a report dating to 1658 by Etienne de Flacourt. The name is thought to have derived from one of the lemur's vocalizations. Flacourt described it as being "as big as a two-year-old calf" and having "a rounded head and a human face ."
