has gloss	deu: xCBL steht für XML Common Business Library und wurde 1997 von der Firma Veo Systems unter dem Namen CBL entwickelt. Im Januar 1997 übernahm die Firma Commerce One Veo Systems und deren CBL-Technologie. Wurde bei Veo Systems mit CBL noch die Anwendbarkeit von XML für E-Business-Anwendungen evaluiert, so hielt bei Commerce One diese Technologie Einzug als Standard-Datenaustauschformat für ihre E-Commerce-Anwendungen und E-Marktplätze.
