has gloss	eng: Zirin was a Palestinian Arab village of over 1,400 in the Jezreel Valley, located north of Jenin. Identified as the Canaanite town of Yizreel, it was known as Zirin during Islamic rule, and was near the site of the Battle of Ain Jalut, in which the Mamluks halted Mongol expansion southward. Under the Ottomans, it was a small village, expanding during the British Mandate in the early 20th century. After its capture by Israel in 1948, Zirin was destroyed.

has gloss	heb: זירעין או זרעין (בערבית زرعين באנגלית Zirin) היה כפר ערבי גדול בעמק חרוד, החלק המזרחי של עמק יזרעאל. הכפר היה ממוקם סמוך לכביש מעפולה לגנין כ-7 קילומטרים דרומית לעפולה בגובה 110 מ מעל פני הים. הכפר היה שייך לנפת גנין מחוז שומרון (1945), שטחי אדמותיו היו 23,920 דונם ובשנת 1945 מנה 1,420 נפשות . במלחמת העצמאות במהלך ההכנות לכיבוש ג'נין , ב-28 במאי 1948 הכפר נכבש והתרוקן מתושביו.
