has gloss	nld: John Slatter M.B.E. (Londen, 21 februari 1864 – Toronto, 7 december 1954) was een Brits-Canadees componist, dirigent en solist op het eufonium. Zijn broer Henry Arthur Slatter was eveneens dirigent en klarinettist en van 1884 tot 1905 lid van de Band of the H.M. Grenadier Guards en vertrok in 1911 naar Vancouver, waar hij dirigent van de 72nd Seaforth Highlanders Band tot 1925 was. Zijn broer Albert Slatter was dirigent van de Band of the 7th London Fusiliers.
