has gloss	nld: NCB Naturalis is een onderzoeksinstituut en natuurhistorisch museum dat op 28 januari 2010 formeel is opgericht in Leiden. Tot die tijd was Nederlands Centrum voor Biodiversiteit de werktitel van de organisatie. De Nederlandse overheid steekt in het instituut 30 miljoen euro uit het Fonds Economische Structuurversterking. Nederland start met de oprichting van NCB Naturalis het Internationaal Jaar van de Biodiversiteit.
