has gloss | eng: Woods Cree is an Algonquian language spoken in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada. It only has 14 letters in the alphabet.There are marked and unmarked letters. Marked are know as long sounds, unmarked are known as short sounds. There are many suffix endings, each have a different given meaning. Cree is mostly built on verbs. To master the vowels are quite important. There are only 3 personal pronouns, but each has about 3 or 4 pronouns. The pronoun nȇya means I-My-Mine. the pronoun kȇya means You-Your-Yours. the pronoun wȇya means He-She-His-Hers. Those are the basic pronouns. Ther are many sentences that are one word like Tân'si it means Hi! How are you? |
