By 1955, Si Ahmed Belbachir Haskouri, the right-hand man of the caliph of Spanish Morocco included him in the new nationalist government of Spanish Morocco, after having protected Abdelkhalek's party for many years. In his late years, and after the Moroccan independence, Torres served first as ambassador in Spain and Egypt and then as a Minister of Justice. |
