has gloss	eng: Anisoptera is a genus of plant in family Dipterocarpaceae. The name Anisoptera is derived from Greek ( = “unequal” and = “wing”) and describes the unequal fruit calyx lobes. It contains ten species distributed from Chittagong (Bangladesh) to New Guinea (Ashton 2004). Eight out of the ten species are currently listed on the IUCN redlist. Of these, four species are listed as critically endangered and the other four as endangered. The main threat is habitat loss. The timber is a light hardwood.

Nó chứa khoảng 10-11 loài, phân bố trong khu vực từ Chittagong ở Bangladesh tới New Guinea . Tám trong số này hiện nay được liệt kê trong sách đỏ của IUCN, trong đó 4 loài là cực kỳ nguy cấp và 4 loài kia là nguy cấp. Mối đe dọa chính đối với các loài vên vên là mất môi trường sống. Gỗ của chúng thuộc dạng gỗ cứng nhẹ.
