The song was released as a single from the bands second album "Blanket" in 1999. The collaboration came into being while Heaps then-record label, Almo Sounds, was having problems and promotion for iMegaphone was put on hold. The track was also added as a bonus to the Japanese re-issue of Heap's debut album in 2002.
