The episode features the death of Hanks angry father, Cotton Hill. The episode aired on Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, Cotton died on November 11th-- Veterans Day. Some, however, criticized the episode because of the notable absence of Didi and G.H and the retcon of his grudge against the Japanese. In 2008, it was nominated for the Emmy award for Outstanding Animation program, but lost to The Simpsons. |
