has gloss	dan: Der har indtil 2007 ikke været Nationalparker i Danmark, men den 29 juni 2007, udpegede miljøminister Connie Hedegaard Danmarks første Nationalpark. Valget faldt på forslaget fra Thy, hvor et karakteristisk klit-, hede- og plantageområde var foreslået under navnet Nationalpark Thy. Danmark vil derfor formentlig have sin første officielle nationalpark i 2008.
