has gloss	eng: Matrix is a jazz fusion group started in 1974, noted for tight brass ensemble lines and complex musical themes. It made its biggest impact on the music scene in the 1970s, including an appearance at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1976. The group reformed in 1992, 2000, and 2002. The group will be reforming once again for a performance at the Thrasher Opera House in Green Lake, Wisconsin on Friday, September 4, 2009. Album titles include Matrix IX (also the original name of the band), Wizard, Tale of the Whale, Harvest and Proud Flesh. A 30th Anniversary Reunion of the original members was the highlight of the Fox Festival on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Menasa, Wisconsin off the Fox River.
