has gloss	eng: The NZR DL class is a proposed class of locomotives to be built for the New Zealand Government-owned railway operating company, KiwiRail. Once commissioned, they will be the most powerful diesel-electric locomotives in service. It was previously reported that the class was to be known as the DK class however Kiwirail have since renamed it as the DL class as the Builder is Dalian locomotive and Rolling stock. The first locomotive will be DL9008.
