has gloss	eng: The Sokol space suit (, Falcon) is a type of Russian space suit, worn by anyone who flies on the Soyuz spacecraft. It was introduced in 1973 and is still used . The Sokol is described by its makers as a rescue suit, and it is not capable of being used outside the spacecraft in a spacewalk or extra-vehicular activity. Instead, its purpose is to keep the wearer alive in the event of an accidental depressurisation of the spacecraft. In this respect it is similar to the ACES suit worn aboard NASA's Space Shuttle during launch and landing.

has gloss	deu: Der Sokol-Raumanzug ( für Falke) ist ein russischer Raumanzug, der von allen Kosmonauten an Bord der Sojus-Raumschiffe bei Start, Landung und Koppelmanövern getragen wird. Dieser Typus kam das erste Mal im Jahr 1973 zum Einsatz und wird immer noch genutzt. Vom Hersteller NPP Swesda wird er als Rettungsanzug bezeichnet, da er ausschließlich dazu dient, den Raumfahrer im Falle eines Druckverlustes an Bord der Sojus-Raumschiffe zu schützen. Damit hat er dieselbe Funktion wie der bekannte orangefarbene US-amerikanische ACE-Anzug, der von den Space-Shuttle-Astronauten bei Start und Landung der Raumfähre getragen wird. Mit dem Sokol-Anzug ist kein Außenbordeinsatz möglich, dafür dienen z. B. die russischen Orlan-D-Raumanzüge.

Sa première utilisation eu lieu en 1973 et elle est toujours employée aujourdhui. La combinaison Sokol est décrite comme une combinaison de secours, devant protéger les cosmonautes en cas de dépressurisation de la cabine et ne permettant donc pas deffectuer des sorties extra-véhiculaires, à la manière des combinaisons ACES (Shuttle Advanced Crew Escape Suit) américaines.
