The attraction opened in the Marvel Super Hero Island of the theme park in 2000, a year after the opening of the theme park. The attraction is a "Teacups" inspired ride where riders enter circular rounded vehicles with a metal wheel in the front, and hold on to it while the ride spins. The pretense of the attraction is that Magneto, a villain in the X-Men line of Marvel Comics, is threatening the world. Storm and Professor Xavier recruit riders into the "Storm Force Accelatron", a device that they hope will stop Magneto.
