has gloss	eng: The Pumps is a Canadian rock band that formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the late 1970s. The original lineup included Chris Burke-Gaffney (vocals, bass), Lou Petrovich (lead guitar) and Terry ("TNT") Taylor (drums, back up vocals). Brent Diamond (keyboards) later joined the act. The Pumps released the debut album "Gotta Move" on Polygram Records in 1980--that featured FM radio hits "Success", "Bust The T.V." and "Coffee With The Queen". The band supported the album with heavy touring. The band later became Orphan but failed to achieve the legendary status that The Pumps have established in the Manitoba music scene. Orphans single success was the song Miracle, that still gets played on the radio today. Burke-Gaffney has gone on to be an acclaimed writer producer who's credits include Chantal Kreviazuk and McMaster & James.
