Information
has glosseng: Werner Erhard and Associates v. Christopher Cox for Congress is a lawsuit that was filed in 1988 by the company Werner Erhard and Associates and its owner Werner Erhard (the founder of Erhard Seminars Training, or "est") against then-Congressional candidate Christopher Cox and his campaign organization Christopher Cox for Congress. Erhards brother Nathan Rosenberg campaigned in 1986 against incumbent Congressman Robert Badham. Rosenberg was criticized during his campaign against Badham for neglecting to fully detail his connections to Erhard and Erhards organizations - he previously held senior roles in both Erhard Seminars Training and The Hunger Project. During the 1986 campaign, Badhams campaign sent out a mailer critical of Rosenbergs ties to Erhards organization. Badham described Rosenbergs campaign as a "front" for Erhard, called the est techniques "brainwashing", and referred to Erhard's organization as a "mind control group" similar to those of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh and Jim Jones.
