It began broadcasting in July 2000 under the trademark "yes". The largest shareholder of the provider is the Bezeq corporation holding up to 49% of its shares. The creation of yes broke the cable monopoly in Israel which had lasted more than a decade and ushered in digital broadcasting technology to the country.
