Dikke Charles (fat Charles) as he's called, is a legendary king of brothels that before the sales controlled over 60 window brothels in the entertainment blocks. Most of the window brothels are now empty and curtains hang behind the windows.

has gloss	nld: Charles Ludovicus Geerts (Amsterdam, 1943) (ook bekend als Dikke Charles) is de oprichter van Scala agenturen en was eigenaar van vele ramen op de Wallen in Amsterdam. In 2001 klaagde hij met succes het dagblad Het Parool aan bij de Raad voor de Journalistiek na een artikel van Bart Middelburg over het witwassen van geld. In 2004 zond Zembla een programma uit, waarin hij onterecht in verband werd gebracht met kinderporno. Op last van de Raad voor de Journalistiek moest het programma deze bewering rectificeren. Geerts was bevriend met drugsbaron Klaas Bruinsma.
